এলজিআই গাইডলাইন বাস্তবায়নে কেন্দ্রীয় মনিটরিং টিমের ফোকাল পয়েন্ট এর সাথে সভা অনুষ্ঠিত
২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর,২০২৩ স্থানীয় সরকার বিভাগের অতিরিক্ত সচিব মহোদয় জনাব মুস্তাকীম বিল্লাহ ফারুকী (আহ্বায়ক, স্থানীয় সরকার প্রতিষ্ঠানের তামাক নিয়ন্ত্রণ কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়ন নির্দেশিকায় উল্লেখিত কেন্দ্রীয় মনিটরিং টিম) এর সাথে এইড ফাউন্ডেশনের একটি প্রতিনিধি দলের দ্বিপাক্ষিক সভা সচিবালয়ে তাঁর দপ্তরে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
সভায় গাইডলাইন বাস্তবায়নে বিভিন্ন স্থানীয় সরকার প্রতিষ্ঠানের (পৌরসভা) নিজস্ব উদ্যোগ সম্পর্কে তাকে অবহিত করা হয়। তিনি এই সময় সংশ্লিষ্ট দপ্তরকে আগামী ২ অক্টোবর, ২০২৩ কেন্দ্রীয় মনিটরিং টিমের সভা অনুষ্ঠিত করার নির্দেশনা প্রদান করেন। তিনি প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করে বলেন, তামাকজাত দ্রব্যের ব্যবহার নিয়ন্ত্রণে গাইডলাইনটি বাস্তবায়ন করা নিশ্চিত করা হবে। এই সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন একই বিভাগের যুগ্ম সচিব জনাব জসিম উদ্দিন, এইড ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রকল্প পরিচালক শাগুফতা সুলতানা ও সিনিয়র প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার আবু নাসের অনীক।
On September 24, 2023, a bilateral meeting of a delegation of AID Foundation এইড ফাউন্ডেশন with Mr. Mustaqeem Billah Faruqi, Additional Secretary of Local Government Division (Convener, Central Monitoring Team, LGI guidelines for implementation of tobacco control programs in LG institutions) was held in his office at the Secretariat.
In the meeting, he was informed about the own initiatives of various local government institutions (municipalities) in implementing the guidelines. At this time, he instructed the concerned department to hold the Central Monitoring Team meeting on October 2, 2023. He assured that the guidelines will be implemented to control the use of tobacco products. Mr. Jasim Uddin, Joint Secretary, Shagufta Sultana, Project Director of AID Foundation এইড ফাউন্ডেশন and Abu Naser Anik, Senior Program Officer were present at this time.
